Every year a good part of the room is here for the first time. Here is exactly what happens, so that nothing about the first day is a surprise.
The first hour.
Four steps, and three of them happen to you rather than by you.
Registration opens well before the first session. Arriving early means you check in without a queue and find your room before it matters.
Your pass lives in the app as a QR code, or we can print it at the desk. Either works.
This happens at check-in. You do not choose it and you do not need to do anything.
The full programme is in the app, room by room, and there are people on every door whose whole job is pointing.

people ask.
Asked honestly, answered the same way.
I do not know anyone.
You are placed in a House at check-in, before the first session starts. It has a colour, a crest and a team, and it exists precisely so that newcomers, singles and elders are not left standing on their own. By the second day you will know names.
I have young children.
Supervised daycare runs every day for roughly ages one to six, close enough to the mainstage that you are never far if you are needed. Older children and teenagers have their own track running in parallel, with youth-led worship.
I am not sure I want to commit to a whole week.
Three evening services are free and open to the public every year. No pass, no ticket, no membership. Come to one, see the room, and decide from there.
What do people wear?
Whatever you are comfortable in. Some dress for church, some come straight from work. The gala at the end of the week is the one black-tie night, and that is optional and ticketed separately.
Do I have to be part of a church?
No. Plenty of people come with a home church, plenty come without one, and nobody is asked at the door.
What does it cost?
The evenings are free. A pass for the full week covers sessions, meals and children’s programming, and pre-sale pricing is the lowest of the year. Prices for each convention live on that year’s own site.
