FreedomGRC youth tackle faith, pressure and purpose
Eleven sessions gave young people ages 6 to 18 room to discuss friendships, mental health, leadership and the future they want to build.
CORAL SPRINGS, FL. Around tables covered with worksheets and notebooks, young people at FreedomGRC 2026 spent four days talking about the decisions and pressures shaping their lives.
In 2026, the convention’s youth track brought together children and teenagers ages 6 to 18 for 11 sessions. Facilitators addressed friendships, anxiety, identity, leadership and faith with a program designed for conversation, not passive supervision.
Friendships and the voices that matter
The opening sessions examined the influence of friendships. Your Circle Shapes Your Future asked participants to consider how trust, peer pressure and the people around them affect their choices. Choose Your Team continued the discussion by focusing on how to build healthy relationships and become a dependable friend.
Later that day, Hearing God’s Voice explored scripture, prayer, worship and the Holy Spirit. Together, the three Tuesday sessions connected everyday relationships with the larger question of how young people recognize direction in their lives.
The table arrangement helped younger children and teenagers participate in the same room while working at an appropriate level. Photographs from the sessions show facilitators moving between small groups, listening to answers and inviting questions.
An honest conversation about pressure
Wednesday morning focused on emotional wellness. Faith and Mental Health, Pressure Drop and Peace Over Pressure gave participants language for discussing anxiety and the expectations they face at school, online and among friends.
The subject also appeared in the adult program that morning, where clinicians led sessions and answered questions. Addressing mental health across both schedules allowed families to continue the conversation after leaving their separate rooms.
Wednesday afternoon included Daughters of Purpose and Young Men on Mission. The two sessions created space for conversations about confidence, responsibility, integrity and leadership.
Leadership with a purpose
The final two days moved from personal pressure toward service. Calling and Leadership considered the courage and responsibility involved in answering a call. Lead Like Jesus used team activities to explore humility and servant leadership.
The track concluded Friday with Purpose and Legacy. Through creative work, group challenges and reflection, participants considered what they hope to contribute to their families, churches and communities.
The youth program was led by the convention’s youth directors with facilitators from across the ministry. That approach placed young people inside the central work of FreedomGRC rather than on the edge of it.
In 2027, youth sessions will again run alongside the convention program. Young people will also join the wider gathering for shared activities, evening services and Saturday’s Family Commissioning.
