Rhona Hernandez was born in Trinidad & Tobago and raised in a devout Anglican home, where she developed a deep sense of spirituality and devotion from a young age. Even as a child, Rhona felt a divine calling toward serving the Lord and her community — her early responsibilities included cleaning the church and assisting the elderly in preparing for communion, duties she embraced with dedication and love.
As a young adult, Rhona migrated to New York City, where she joined Jesus Family Ministries. Her commitment and passion led to her ordination as a Deaconess, and her steadfast dedication saw her rise to become a Minister. In pursuit of her calling, she moved to Texas and served at Lone Star Baptist Church for three years, touching many lives before returning to Florida to be closer to her family.
Rhona is a proud mother of two and a grandmother of seven. After exploring various churches upon her return to Florida, she found her spiritual home at Daystar Ministry in 2020 — a placement she believes was a divine appointment. She has since embraced her responsibilities as a Minister and Armor Bearer to Apostle Dr. Sandra Mitchell with humility and dedication.
Her burden for others deepened through her own trials. A breast cancer conqueror, Rhona channeled her experience into service as a volunteer with the American Cancer Society, accompanying individuals to and from treatment and sharing her journey of faith and healing. She also ministers through Intercessory Prayer and is a frequent speaker at Day Star Connect.
At Daystar Ministry, Rhona’s unwavering commitment to prayer — particularly for the sick and those in need — exemplifies her servant’s heart. She is a living testament to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), working tirelessly to bring healing and hope to the body of Christ. Her life is a beacon of excellence, commitment, and integrity, always aiming to glorify God through her actions and words. Rhona firmly believes that with faith, all things are possible through Christ, and she lives this truth every day as a soldier in God’s army.
All praise be to God!
