1. Introduction
Daystar Ministries of Fort Lauderdale, Inc. (‘Daystar Ministries’, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’) operates the Freedom Global Restoration Convention, the website freedomgrc.com, and related registration, donation, and mobile-app services (together, the ‘Services’). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. By using our Services, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Your name, email, phone, mailing address, and church or organization when you register or buy tickets; limited transaction details when you give a donation or make a purchase (we do not collect or store full payment-card numbers); the username, profile, and preferences you provide if you use an account or the FreedomGRC app; and anything you include when you email us, subscribe to our newsletter, complete a form, or volunteer.
Information collected automatically
Device and usage information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and visit times, gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process registrations, tickets, donations, and receipts; operate and improve the website, app, and convention; communicate with you about the event, schedule, and support; send newsletters and ministry updates where you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time); keep our Services secure and prevent fraud; and meet our legal and tax obligations as a nonprofit ministry.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our Services and as described here:
- Service providers that help us operate, including our ticketing and event provider (Wix), third-party payment processors, our email and newsletter provider, website hosting, and analytics providers. They may access your information only to perform services for us.
- Authorized staff and volunteers who help run the convention and respond to your requests.
- Legal authorities, where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our ministry, our guests, or others.
- A successor organization, in the unlikely event of a ministry merger, reorganization, or transfer of assets.
5. Donations and Payment Information
Ticket payments and donations are handled by our third-party payment and ticketing partners. Your card details are entered directly with those providers and are subject to their privacy and security practices. We retain donation and purchase records as needed for receipts, accounting, and tax reporting.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, understand how our Services are used, and improve them. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Services work. Where we use analytics providers such as Google Analytics, you can opt out using Google’s browser add-on.
7. Third-Party Links and Services
Our Services may link to third-party platforms, for example our ticketing, payment, social media, and livestream providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.
8. Children’s Privacy
We welcome families and offer a youth and children’s experience. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Registrations for minors are made by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data Retention
We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to provide the Services, and to meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations, after which we securely delete or de-identify it.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, manage cookies through your browser, or email us to update or delete your information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at daystar@freedomgrc.com. Residents of certain states, such as California, may have additional rights.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Last updated date above and post the new version on this page. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
