While attending college she worked the night shift at Northwest Medical Hospital, Margate, Florida. Shortly after she took a position at Vitas healthcare for 15 years as a registered nurse. Ever aspiring to the betterment of self, Southern University was the next stop on her career for the bachelor’s degree in nursing. In this season she switched to her present employer, Empath hospice.

Pastor Maxine studied for many years at Christ Jesus University and was awarded an Honorary master’s degree in biblical studies. Her passion for worship and fellowship cannot be stated in words but observed — as at functions she is the first to arrive and last to leave. Her favorite Psalm is 133: "Behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity." She enjoys nothing more than worship and fellowship. Preaching the word of God and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ cannot be eclipsed by any worldly possession or position. With Christ, in Christ, For Christ.
